Let’s go.
Last week’s episode was the beginning of how to set up your SEO, the bare minimum, because we, small business owners don’t have a lot of time to be futsing around with these things. We went over Google analytics, Google search console, and keyword research. If you haven’t listened to that episode yet, you’ll want to start there. This episode, we’re covering things on your website to set up. These are doing a site audit or what I like to call a site health check and filling in your page, titles and descriptions.
Well-structured error-free sites deliver a better visitor experience.
And as a result, you’ll see more site traffic and more leads. Regular website, health checks identify any OnPage issues impacting how well your site performance in search.
Well structured error-free sites deliver a better visitor experience. And as a result, you’ll see more site traffic and more leads. Regular website, health checks identify any OnPage issues impacting how well your site performs in search. So how can you get a website, health check and discover what issues your sites facing? Well, you can hire someone or you can DIY using a free or paid tool. A word of caution though.
It can feel overwhelming. Many of my small business, sweet spot members, bring their audits into the calls to work through the issues, especially since automated report. Don’t take into consideration unique aspects of your website. I have a couple of links in the show notes for you, where you can find the site audits. And finally part of the bare minimum to SEO is filling out your page, titles and descriptions.
These are what show on the search engine results pages. These are your window displays. If these two things aren’t powerful enough to get the visitor to quote, walk through the door. Then rewrite them. How do you know if they’re powerful enough? Check your Google search console. A couple of episodes ago, episode number 10, I went into some detail about how you can use GSC. And this was one of the things talked about. And that’s it for this part of the bare minimum SEO series.
The next episode is going to cover what specifically you can do each month. Even if you only have an hour or two available, stay tuned for more episodes on making your business thrive online. See you in the next sweet spot. Cheers.
