Welcome back to the Sweet Spot! Today’s post is a little different from my usual how-to guides. I wanted to merge some practical marketing wisdom with what I lovingly call a “woo woo perspective.” Don’t worry—I’m not adding more to your already full plate. Instead, I’m sharing insights on how we can blend our personal passions with our business goals.

We’re talking about marketing, yes, but through the lens of clarity, permission, and growth—both internally and externally. These aren’t random tips; they’re patterns I’ve observed in myself and my clients over the years. I’ve noticed how shifting perspective can open up new results and bring more simplicity and clarity to your business.

Lesson One: Vague Advice Is Crap

Generic, unclear marketing advice leads nowhere except to spinning your wheels. It’s frustrating when you can’t get the specific answers you need. What we really need is clarity—understanding what’s happening, what’s next, and why.

This means seeking guidance that shows you how to take specific action. Not just any action, but targeted steps that align with your goals. Confusion keeps us from following our path and our passion—it makes us stand still and do nothing.

Lesson Two: You Don’t Have to Do All the Things

Visibility isn’t about being on every single channel—it’s about being on the right channels where your audience hangs out. I know you’ve probably heard people saying you need to be everywhere and repurpose content across all platforms, but here’s the truth: marketing takes energy, and spreading yourself too thin creates chaos and scattered results.

When you’re stretched across too many channels, it’s hard to know where your time is best spent. Your message gets diluted, and your content can fall flat or look half-assed. Your work deserves better than that.

Remember, your clients can’t hire you if they don’t know you exist—so yes, you do need to be out there. It’s just a matter of finding the channels most relevant to who you serve. When you focus on those sweet spots, those channels become bigger, brighter, and better.

Lesson Three: Constant Input Equals No Room for Implementing

There’s a difference between learning and digesting. If you’re always listening, downloading, consuming, taking courses, and signing up for all the things, you’re not giving yourself time to implement what you’ve learned.

This creates confusion and chaos because you have so many ideas but no clear starting point. You already know a lot. What if you paused temporarily and started listening to what feels good? That gut feeling, that instinct about what you want to spend time on—you can’t hear it if you’re constantly ingesting new information.

Your inner wisdom gets louder and more pronounced when you spend time in silence. I don’t mean you need to meditate (though you certainly can). Just give yourself space between projects to process and reflect.

Lesson Four: Complacency Kills

“This is good enough” is often fear in disguise—fear of effort, fear of change, fear of messing up. Being open to new processes, tools, or strategies can spark growth. It’s not about changing everything, just not getting stuck in “what used to work” or “this is the way it has to be.”

Make it a habit to ask: What would make this feel better? What would make this work better? What if it could be better?

If you feel yourself getting complacent, remember that resistance to change is often resistance to expanding and growing. Instead of resisting, ask yourself: What if what’s next is better than now? You can’t see what you can’t see.

Build Your Business Your Way

You are allowed to build your business in a way that feels light and powerful. Choose clarity over noise. Intention over hustle. Presence over panic.

I’d love to hear which takeaway resonated most with you, or if there’s a particular idea you especially liked. Drop me a comment or send me a message!
