To stay organized, I’ve numbered the checklist. We have 8 items on our list.
1. Run a Site Health Check aka Site Audit
– Identify and fix any technical SEO issues.
2. Measure Performance
– Analyze Q4 performance data to identify what’s working and what’s not.
– Adjust strategies based on findings.
3. Review Target Keywords
– Verify that target keywords are still relevant and aligned with your business goals.
– Explore new keyword opportunities.
4. Mini Competitor Analysis
– Review the landscape. Poke around. See if anything new stands out on their website.
– Review competitor content to find new ideas and strategies and fill in some gaps you might see.
5. Refresh Content
– Update poor-performing content to improve engagement and increase conversions.
– Optimize content for new keywords.
– Add any new testimonials or case studies to your website.
6. Plan Content for Q2
– Create a content calendar with blog posts, social media posts, and other content.
– Ensure content is aligned with your audience’s needs and interests.
7. Add New Testimonials
– Add new testimonials to your website. Or move some around.
8. Re-distribution
– What content was shared in Q4 that can be shared again in Q2? Work it into your content calendar.
The Takeaway
What I hope you takeaway from this episode is the intention to look into one of these items. Then put it in your calendar and get er done. Once you do, let me know how it goes?
Digital Marketing Tool of the Week
I love me a good digital marketing tool. Some of them I am an affiliate of which means they pay me to promote their tool. And I’m happy to do so as long as I am using it currently, have used or tried it or someone I trust recommends it to me.
This week’s tool is… Clarity. And it’s free! You put a little piece of code on your website and it will show you what people are doing on your website. It records their session! It doesn’t record sensitive private information. Those are masked out. This can help you improve your website for your visitors. You might find people are getting confused, going back and forth and you can improve the flow. Give the tool a try and let me know how you like it.
