AI search is shaking things up, and if you’re wondering how to keep your website relevant, you’re not alone.

SEO today isn’t about checking off boxes and then moving on to the next task.

It’s about creating value, building connections, and rethinking how we structure our content.

In this article, I’m sharing how I’d approach SEO right now, with AI in the mix, and I think it’s much more fun than traditional SEO.

First up, collaborations.

When you team up with other professionals, you’re not just sharing expertise; you’re also building backlinks.

Let me tell you about a live threesome I did—nooo not THAT kind of threesome—It was with a web designer and a copywriter and myself being an SEO consultant.

The goal was to show how our industries depend on each other when building a website. It was so much fun!

Not only did we provide value to our audiences, but every mention and link back to my site and theirs is like SEO gold.

Collaborations are a creative, effective way to build links naturally while sharing your expertise.

👉 Think about who you could team up with in your industry.

And while collaborations can help your website get found, you also need to make sure people stay engaged once they land there.

Let’s talk blog layouts.

Gone are the days when plain text was enough.

Today, keeping people engaged means getting creative—adding interactive elements like quizzes, videos, or even clickable tables of contents.

Think of your blog as more than just words on a page. Make it an experience.

Not only does this improve user engagement, but it sends positive signals to search engines that your content is valuable.

Now that we’ve talked about keeping people on the page, let’s dive into how to structure your blog content for AI-driven search results.

Blog Content Structure

Traditional SEO used to be one topic per page, but with AI search, it’s all about answering related questions in one place.

Instead of standalone posts, I’d build blog guides that cover multiple angles of a topic—essentially creating the kind of content that AI can’t resist. For example, if I’m writing about website design, I wouldn’t stop at ‘Top Tips for Website Design.’ I’d also include sections on choosing the right color palette, optimizing for speed, and integrating SEO best practices—all in one guide.

Even better, I’d create series-style content and link everything together to keep readers clicking through my site.

This is where the ah-ha moment comes in—series-style content.

Imagine writing a three-part series on a topic your audience cares about.

Not only does this create opportunities to link posts together, but it also helps establish authority.

Internal linking is like giving search engines a map of your site.

It shows them how your content connects and makes it easier for users to navigate.

So, what does all this mean for your SEO strategy? It’s time to think bigger and more creatively.

If you’re ready to rethink your SEO strategy with AI search in mind, I can help.
